| 背景信息 |
Chitinase 3 like 1 (CHI3L1) is a secreted glycoprotein and member of the glycosyl hydrolase 18 family that functions as a carbohydrate-binding lectin. Although it lacks chitinase enzymatic activity, it retains a high-affinity carbohydrate-binding motif for chitin and chito-oligosaccharides. CHI3L1 is produced by various cell types, including activated macrophages, neutrophils, and endothelial cells, and is involved in tissue remodeling and cell survival. It plays a significant role in activating Akt signaling pathways and stimulating IL-8 production, which are key drivers of chronic inflammation. Clinically, CHI3L1 is a prominent biomarker for multiple pathological conditions, including fibrosis and various cancers. It is particularly associated with colitis-related neoplastic changes and atherogenesis, making it a valuable target for therapeutic intervention in inflammatory and malignant diseases. |
