| 背景信息 | BMERB domain containing 1 (BMERB1) is an intracellular protein that functions in the negative regulation of microtubule depolymerization. It is particularly active within the microtubule cytoskeleton and is involved in processes such as the regulation of cell motility, specifically during the radial glia-guided migration of neurons in the cerebral cortex. Structural analysis indicates that the protein lacks signal peptides and transmembrane regions, consistent with its cytoplasmic localization. While BMERB1 is expressed in the brain and other tissues, its direct involvement in human disease remains unconfirmed, as current clinical associations lack established causality. |
