| 背景信息 | Cadherin related family member 4 (CDHR4) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the cadherin superfamily. It features multiple extracellular cadherin (EC) repeats that mediate calcium-dependent homophilic cell-cell adhesion. CDHR4 localizes to the plasma membrane where it is predicted to participate in the organization of epithelial tissues and the maintenance of cellular architecture. Although its precise physiological roles are still being characterized, its structural domains and tissue-enriched expression patterns suggest a specialized function in mediating intercellular interactions and stabilizing membrane junctions. |
