| 背景信息 | Microtubule associated protein 1 light chain 3 beta 2 (MAP1LC3B/MAP1LC3B2) is a ubiquitin-like modifier protein central to the autophagy and mitophagy machinery. It facilitates the formation and elongation of the autophagosome membrane by binding to phosphatidylethanolamine. MAP1LC3B2 is specifically involved in mitophagy, anchoring autophagosomes to damaged mitochondria via interactions with ceramides to ensure their selective clearance, thus maintaining mitochondrial quality control. This process prevents the accumulation of dysfunctional organelles and reactive oxygen species. Dysregulation of autophagy pathways involving LC3 proteins is implicated in diverse pathologies, including neurodegeneration and infectious diseases. |
