| 背景信息 | Golgin A8 family member C, pseudogene (GOLGA8CP) is located within a segmentally duplicated region on chromosome 15q13. Although classified as a pseudogene, it retains the coding potential for a coiled-coil protein homologous to the GOLGA8 family of cis-Golgi matrix proteins. These proteins typically function as membrane tethers or scaffolds involved in Golgi organization and vesicular trafficking. The GOLGA8CP locus resides in a genomic region susceptible to rearrangements associated with 15q13 microdeletion/duplication syndromes. While structural predictions suggest a potential role in Golgi architecture, definitive evidence linking GOLGA8CP specific variants to monogenic disease or cancer remains to be established. |
