| 背景信息 | DExD-box helicase 39A (DDX39A), also known as URH49, is a DExD-box RNA helicase that utilizes ATP hydrolysis to unwind RNA secondary structures. Highly homologous to DDX39B, it plays a critical but distinct role in RNA metabolism, including mRNA nuclear export, spliceosome assembly, and the export of specific circular RNAs. DDX39A is also involved in the innate immune response, functioning as a negative regulator of type I interferon signaling and binding viral RNAs to modulate infection. While it shares redundancy with other helicases in general RNA processing, its unique substrate specificity prevents it from compensating for all DDX39B functions. Upregulation of DDX39A is observed in certain cancers, where it may influence prognosis. |
