| 背景信息 | Interferon related developmental regulator 1 (IFRD1) is a protein encoded by the IFRD1 gene, primarily expressed in neutrophils, skeletal and cardiac muscle, brain, and pancreas. IFRD1 functions as a transcriptional co-activator or repressor, regulating gene activity involved in cell growth, differentiation during embryonic development, and tissue regeneration. It interacts with key proteins such as MyoD, MEF2C, HDAC3, HDAC4, and the p65 subunit of NF-κB, forming complexes that influence transcriptional regulation. IFRD1 can form homodimers and is implicated in signaling pathways related to muscle differentiation and cellular response to growth factors. Clinically, mutations in IFRD1 are associated with sensory/motor neuropathy with ataxia and have been identified as modifiers in cystic fibrosis lung disease by regulating neutrophil effector function. Alternate splicing of IFRD1 results in multiple transcript variants, further diversifying its functional roles. |
