| 背景信息 | Estrogen receptor binding site associated antigen 9 (EBAG9), also known as RCAS1, is a type II membrane protein that localizes to the Golgi apparatus and cytoplasmic vesicles. As an estrogen-responsive gene, its expression is regulated by the binding of estrogen receptors to an upstream estrogen-responsive element. EBAG9 interacts with Snapin and COPI coat proteins to modulate large dense-core vesicle exocytosis and regulate protein transport within secretory pathways. Clinically, EBAG9 is recognized as a tumor-associated antigen that is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including cervical adenocarcinoma and endometrial cancer. It has been implicated in the suppression of host immune responses and the induction of apoptosis in surrounding cells, often serving as a prognostic marker for disease progression in lung and breast cancers. |
