| 背景信息 | C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 11 (CXCL11), also known as I-TAC, is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family, encoded by the CXCL11 gene on human chromosome 4. This 73 amino acid protein is primarily expressed in activated T cells and is known for its potent chemotactic properties, particularly towards T cells activated by interleukin-2. CXCL11 interacts with the CXCR3 receptor, exhibiting a higher binding affinity than other ligands such as CXCL9 and CXCL10, which enhances its role in immune responses. Its expression is significantly upregulated by interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and IL-1, indicating its involvement in inflammatory processes and immune regulation. In terms of disease associations, CXCL11 has been implicated in several conditions, including autoimmune diseases, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders. Elevated levels of CXCL11 and related chemokines have been linked to heart failure and adverse cardiac remodeling, suggesting their potential as biomarkers for these conditions. |
