| 背景信息 | Tetraspanin 4 (TSPAN4) is a cell-surface glycoprotein of the tetraspanin family that organizes membrane microdomains (TERMs) to regulate cell motility, adhesion, and signaling. Structurally cone-shaped, TSPAN4 acts as a membrane curvature sensor, enriching in highly curved cellular structures such as retraction fibers. It is essential for the formation and stabilization of migrasomes, organelle-like structures that facilitate intercellular communication and mitochondrial transport during cell migration. TSPAN4 mediates interactions with integrins and other tetraspanins to coordinate signal transduction. While its mechanistic roles in disease are still emerging, TSPAN4 has been linked to processes relevant to viral infection and soft palate malignancy. |
