| 背景信息 | Chondroadherin (CHAD) is a small leucine-rich repeat proteoglycan located in the extracellular matrix, primarily enriched in cartilage and bone. It mediates the attachment of chondrocytes, osteoblasts, and fibroblasts by binding to integrin α2β1 and syndecans, thereby linking the extracellular environment to intracellular signaling pathways such as PI3K-Akt. CHAD interacts with various collagens to facilitate early matrix assembly and maintain the mechanical integrity of skeletal tissues. Its expression throughout different developmental stages suggests a continuous role in regulating chondrocyte proliferation and matrix homeostasis. Clinically, CHAD is associated with musculoskeletal disorders, including calcific tendinitis and osteochondrodysplasia, and its deficiency is known to result in altered bone density and mechanical properties. |
