| 背景信息 | Ring finger protein 113A (RNF113A) is an X-linked E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase containing C3H1-type and RING-type zinc finger domains. It functions as a component of the spliceosome, specifically the minor U12-dependent spliceosome, and is essential for pre-mRNA splicing. RNF113A also participates in the DNA damage response by recruiting repair factors to alkylation damage sites and regulating CXCR4 signaling via ubiquitination. Pathogenic mutations in RNF113A lead to Trichothiodystrophy 5 (TTD5), a non-photosensitive neuroectodermal syndrome characterized by brittle hair, intellectual disability, and short stature, resulting primarily from defects in U12-intron splicing rather than ubiquitin ligase failure. |
