| 背景信息 | ADAM metallopeptidase domain 12 (ADAM12) is a zinc-dependent metalloprotease that exists as membrane-bound and secreted isoforms. It is involved in cell adhesion, proteolysis, and signaling, playing key roles in myogenesis, osteoclast formation, and extracellular matrix remodeling. Pathologically, ADAM12 is overexpressed in various cancers, including breast and gastrointestinal malignancies, where it promotes cell migration and invasion. It also contributes to fibrosis and hypertension. Clinically, maternal serum levels of ADAM12 are utilized as a biomarker in prenatal screening for Down syndrome, with reduced levels indicating an increased risk of trisomy 21. |
