| 背景信息 | Syntaxin 6 (STX6) is a Golgi-localized Q-SNARE protein that orchestrates membrane fusion events in the endocytic and secretory pathways. It mediates retrograde transport from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network and regulates the recycling of receptors such as VEGFR2 and integrins. STX6 is also involved in lysosomal degradation pathways and xenophagic clearance. Pathologically, STX6 exhibits "anti-chaperone" activity toward the prion protein (PrP); it delays fibril formation, instead promoting the accumulation of toxic amorphous aggregates. This dual role underscores its importance in maintaining vesicular traffic homeostasis and its potential contribution to neurodegenerative disease mechanisms associated with protein misfolding. |
