| 背景信息 | A-kinase anchoring protein 8 (AKAP8) is a nuclear scaffold protein that targets protein kinase A (PKA) and other signaling effectors to specific chromatin compartments. It plays a pivotal role in mitotic chromosome condensation by recruiting condensin complexes and facilitates the G2/M cell cycle transition. AKAP8 integrates diverse signaling pathways, regulating DNA replication via MCM2, histone deacetylation through HDAC3 recruitment, and transcriptional control of ribosomal DNA. Beyond the cell cycle, it modulates nuclear transport of signaling molecules. Clinically, AKAP8 variants have been associated with developmental and epileptic encephalopathies, highlighting its importance in nuclear architecture and neuronal development. |
