| 背景信息 | TATA-box binding protein associated factor 5 like (TAF5L) is a WD-repeat protein that functions as a key component of the PCAF (p300/CBP-associated factor) histone acetylase complex, which acetylates histones in a nucleosomal context to regulate chromatin structure and gene transcription. Structurally similar to the histone-like TAF5, TAF5L facilitates transcription initiation by promoting the recruitment of transcription factors such as TFIID and modifying general transcription factors to enable assembly of the transcriptional machinery. It acts as a transcriptional coactivator and is essential for myogenic differentiation and embryonic stem cell gene expression programs through epigenetic regulation.
