| 背景信息 | Cancer/testis antigen 2 (CTAG2) is an X-linked tumor antigen of the ESO/LAGE family, normally restricted to testis tissue but aberrantly expressed in various malignancies, including melanoma, breast, and prostate cancers. The protein localizes diffusely in the cytoplasm with a distinct accumulation at the centrosome, where it interacts with the scaffolding protein Pericentrin to regulate centrosomal function and cell cycle dynamics. Functionally, CTAG2 promotes the directional migration and collective invasion of cancer cells, contributing to metastatic behavior. Due to its limited expression in somatic tissues and prevalence in tumors, CTAG2 is investigated as a target for cancer immunotherapy. |
