| 背景信息 | Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 13 (TNFSF13), commonly known as B-cell activating factor (BAFF), is a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the regulation of B-cell development and survival. It is primarily produced by various immune cells, including dendritic cells and macrophages, and acts by binding to three receptors: BAFF-R, TACI, and BCMA. This interaction promotes B-cell maturation, proliferation, and differentiation, making TNFSF13 essential for maintaining normal immune function. Dysregulation of TNFSF13 is linked to several diseases, particularly autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis, where elevated levels of TNFSF13 lead to the survival of autoreactive B-cells and increased antibody production. Additionally, TNFSF13 is implicated in the pathogenesis of B-cell malignancies, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma and multiple myeloma, where it supports tumor cell growth and survival. |
