| 背景信息 | ATP synthase peripheral stalk subunit d (ATP5PD) is a component of the mitochondrial ATP synthase (Complex V) F0 domain. Located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, it forms part of the peripheral stalk or "stator" that structurally connects the catalytic F1 head to the proton-translocating F0 sector. This linkage provides the necessary rigidity to counter torque during rotary catalysis while allowing elastic energy transmission for efficient ATP synthesis. ATP5PD is nuclear-encoded and essential for the assembly and stability of the oxidative phosphorylation machinery. While specific monogenic diseases are rare, its function is vital for cellular bioenergetics and mitochondrial physiology. |
