| 背景信息 | PTTG1 regulator of sister chromatid separation (PTTG1), also known as securin, is a multifunctional protein that regulates sister chromatid separation during mitosis. By inhibiting separase, PTTG1 prevents premature chromosome segregation until the correct metaphase-anaphase transition. Beyond its mitotic function, PTTG1 acts as a transcriptional regulator and modulates microtubule dynamics, influencing cell migration and DNA repair. Dysregulation of PTTG1 is a common feature in cancer; its overexpression promotes tumorigenesis and genetic instability, whereas its loss can lead to aneuploidy and developmental defects. PTTG1 levels are tightly controlled to ensure genomic integrity. |
