| 背景信息 | Serpin family A member 3 (AACT/SERPINA3), or alpha-1-antichymotrypsin, is a plasma serine protease inhibitor and acute-phase protein. It primarily targets proteases such as cathepsin G and chymotrypsin to regulate inflammation and tissue remodeling. SERPINA3 also possesses non-inhibitory functions, including DNA binding and modulation of apoptosis pathways. In disease, SERPINA3 is intimately linked to Alzheimer's pathology, where it associates with amyloid plaques and influences neuroinflammation. Its overexpression is also observed in various cancers, correlating with tumor progression and poor prognosis, although its specific role—whether promoting or inhibiting tumorigenesis—can be context-dependent. |
