| 背景信息 | Interferon omega 1 (IFNW1) is a potent type I interferon cytokine that plays a vital role in the innate immune response against viral infections and tumors. It signals through the heterodimeric IFNAR1/IFNAR2 receptor complex, triggering the JAK-STAT pathway via the cross-phosphorylation of JAK1 and TYK2. This activation leads to the nuclear translocation of STAT proteins and the induction of antiviral and antiproliferative genes. Structurally, IFNW1 is characterized by a four-helix bundle stabilized by conserved disulfide bonds, sharing significant homology with interferon-alpha. Clinically, IFNW1 is associated with conditions such as oral rhabdomyosarcoma and autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome.
