| 背景信息 | Integrin subunit alpha V (Integrin alpha-V) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that heterodimerizes with various beta subunits to form receptors for extracellular matrix ligands containing the RGD motif, such as vitronectin and fibronectin. These alpha-V-containing integrins are essential for cell adhesion, migration, and growth factor signaling. Specifically, alpha-V-beta-6 and alpha-V-beta-8 dimers facilitate the activation of latent TGF-beta-1, linking mechanical forces to profibrotic and immunoregulatory pathways. Integrin alpha-V is heavily implicated in tumor progression, invasion, and metastasis through its interactions with signaling molecules like FGF and IGF. Clinically, mutations in the ITGAV gene are associated with visceral myopathy 1. Furthermore, alpha-V integrins serve as cellular receptors for several viruses, including adenoviruses and coxsackieviruses, making them significant targets in oncology and infectious disease research. |
