| 背景信息 | CD63 is a transmembrane protein that is primarily associated with the membranes of intracellular vesicles, although it can also be expressed on the cell surface. It is a member of the tetraspanin family of proteins, which are involved in cell signaling, development, activation, growth, and motility. CD63 is often used as a marker for multivesicular bodies and extracellular vesicles, as it is enriched in these structures. It is also a recognized marker for activated basophils, and is used in the basophil activation test for diagnosing IgE-mediated allergies. Deficiency of CD63 is associated with Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder characterized by albinism, bleeding, and lung disease. CD63 has also been linked to tumor progression. In summary, CD63 is a multifunctional protein involved in various cellular processes, including vesicle trafficking, cell signaling, and immune function. |
