| 背景信息 | Signal recognition particle 19 (SRP19) is a conserved RNA-binding protein and an essential component of the eukaryotic signal recognition particle (SRP) complex. It plays a fundamental role in the cotranslational targeting of secretory and membrane proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum. SRP19 binds directly to 7SL RNA, where it organizes helices 6 and 8 to create a structural platform required for the stable binding of SRP54 and the assembly of the functional SRP S-domain. This assembly is critical for ribosome binding and signal sequence recognition during protein targeting. Although the SRP complex functions in the cytoplasm, SRP19 is imported into the nucleus and nucleolus for the initial stages of particle assembly before being exported. Its precise coordination of RNA-protein interactions is vital for maintaining cellular protein homeostasis. |
