| 背景信息 | Alkaline phosphatase, intestinal (ALPI), is an endogenous enzyme encoded by the ALPI gene and primarily expressed in the small intestine, where it plays a crucial role in maintaining gut homeostasis. This enzyme exhibits alkaline phosphatase activity, hydrolyzing phosphate groups from various molecules, and is involved in detoxifying bacterial toxins, dephosphorylating phosphorylated nucleotides, and regulating lipid absorption. ALPI also influences the intestinal microbiome and modulates both bicarbonate secretion and the pH of the duodenum, contributing to optimal digestive function and mucosal protection. On the disease side, ALPI is implicated in preventing increased intestinal permeability, which can be induced by certain bacteria, by inhibiting pathways that disrupt tight junctions, thereby protecting against gut barrier dysfunction and related inflammatory conditions. |
