| 背景信息 | AHI1 divergent transcript (AHI1-DT) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located in a bidirectional promoter configuration with the neurodevelopmental gene AHI1. Although it does not encode a protein, AHI1-DT functions as a regulatory RNA that likely modulates the expression of its genomic neighbor and other downstream pathways. Low expression of AHI1-DT is associated with enhanced WNT signaling, increased cell-cycle progression, and chromosomal instability, suggesting a role as a putative tumor suppressor. Given its close genomic proximity to AHI1, which is essential for cerebellar and cortical development, AHI1-DT may participate in the complex regulatory architecture governing neurodevelopmental processes. Its dysregulation is implicated in oncogenic phenotypes and potentially contributes to the pathology of ciliopathies such as Joubert syndrome. |
