| 背景信息 | Serum amyloid A1 (Serum Amyloid A) is a major acute-phase protein primarily synthesized by hepatocytes in response to inflammatory stimuli such as infection or tissue injury. It circulates in the blood predominantly as an apolipoprotein associated with high-density lipoprotein (HDL). During inflammation, SAA1 can displace apoA-I, thereby remodeling HDL particles and influencing lipid metabolism. Functionally, SAA1 acts as an opsonin for Gram-negative bacteria by interacting with outer membrane proteins and promotes the chemotaxis of neutrophils and macrophages through the FPR2 receptor. It also triggers the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, amplifying the innate immune response. While essential for host defense, chronic elevation of SAA1 is clinically significant as it can lead to the formation of amyloid fibrils, contributing to systemic amyloidosis and complicating chronic inflammatory conditions. |
