| 背景信息 | Osteopontin (OPN), also known as secreted phosphoprotein-1 (SPP1), is a multifunctional glycoprotein primarily involved in bone remodeling and immune response. It is produced by various cell types, including osteoblasts, macrophages, and lymphocytes, and plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration, and survival through its interactions with integrins and the CD44 receptor. In the context of disease, elevated levels of SPP1 have been associated with several conditions, including cancer, where it contributes to tumor progression and metastasis, and chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and interstitial lung diseases. Its expression is notably increased in hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, correlating with poor prognosis. Additionally, SPP1 is implicated in cardiovascular diseases, particularly in the remodeling of cardiac tissue following ischemic injury. |
