| 背景信息 | Chromogranin A (Chromogranin-A) is a major acidic glycoprotein found in the secretory granules of endocrine, neuroendocrine, and nervous tissues. It plays a fundamental role in the biogenesis of secretory granules and the sequestration of hormones and neurotransmitters through pH- and calcium-dependent aggregation. Chromogranin A serves as a precursor for several bioactive peptides, including vasostatins, pancreastatin, and catestatin, which are released via proteolytic cleavage by prohormone convertases. These peptides modulate diverse physiological processes such as glucose homeostasis, cardiovascular function, and innate immunity. Clinically, Chromogranin A is a well-established serum biomarker for the diagnosis and monitoring of neuroendocrine neoplasms, including carcinoid tumors, pheochromocytomas, and medullary thyroid carcinomas. Elevated levels are also observed in inflammatory bowel disease and certain prostate and pancreatic cancers, reflecting its broad involvement in neuroendocrine signaling and systemic inflammation. |
