| 背景信息 | Ras-related protein Ral-B (RALB) is a small GTPase that belongs to the RAS superfamily of proteins, which act as molecular switches in various cellular processes. RALB is primarily involved in regulating vesicle trafficking, cell migration, and cytoskeletal dynamics. It cycles between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state, facilitating interactions with downstream effectors that mediate these functions. RALB has been shown to play a significant role in cancer biology, where its overexpression is associated with enhanced tumor cell survival, invasion, and metastasis. For instance, RALB has been implicated in the progression of breast cancer and other malignancies by promoting epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and influencing signaling pathways related to cell proliferation. Additionally, dysregulation of RALB has been linked to other diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. |
