| 背景信息 | Secretogranin II (SCG2) is a multifunctional neuroendocrine protein belonging to the granin family, predominantly expressed in endocrine and neuronal tissues. It localizes to large dense-core secretory granules, where it facilitates the packaging and sorting of neuropeptides and peptide hormones. SCG2 undergoes proteolytic processing by prohormone convertases to generate bioactive peptides, most notably secretoneurin. This peptide exerts chemotactic effects on leukocytes, regulates endothelial calcium signaling, and provides cardioprotection by reducing ischemia-reperfusion injury and apoptosis through the activation of Erk1/2 and Stat3 pathways. Secretoneurin also supports neuronal differentiation and counteracts nitric oxide-induced toxicity. Clinically, SCG2 expression is significantly elevated in the failing myocardium following infarction, and it serves as a potential circulating biomarker for heart failure. |
