| 背景信息 | Intercellular adhesion molecule 2 (ICAM2), also known as CD102, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the ICAM family, characterized by two immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and primarily expressed on endothelial cells and some leukocytes. ICAM2 plays a crucial role in mediating adhesive interactions important for immune surveillance, including lymphocyte recirculation, antigen-specific immune responses, and NK cell-mediated clearance, by binding to leukocyte integrins such as LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) and Mac-1 (CD11b/CD18). It also regulates spermatid adhesion on Sertoli cells, contributing to spermatogenesis. Beyond its physiological roles, ICAM2 has been implicated in disease contexts; it can suppress metastatic phenotypes in tumor cells by linking membrane proteins to the actin cytoskeleton, thereby impacting tumor cell motility and metastatic potential. |
