| 背景信息 | Selectin L (SELL) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on leukocytes, functioning as a homing receptor essential for immune surveillance. As a calcium-dependent lectin, it binds sialylated carbohydrates on endothelial ligands, mediating the initial tethering and rolling of leukocytes on activated endothelium and high endothelial venules. This process is critical for leukocyte entry into secondary lymphoid organs and recruitment to sites of inflammation. L-selectin activity is regulated by ectodomain shedding via ADAM17. Dysregulated expression or shedding of L-selectin disrupts leukocyte trafficking and is associated with inflammatory diseases and cancer metastasis. |
