| 背景信息 | Chymotrypsinogen B1 (CTRB1) is a pancreatic zymogen and the primary precursor of the digestive serine protease chymotrypsin B. Secreted into the duodenum, it is activated to cleave peptide bonds C-terminal to hydrophobic or aromatic residues, playing a central role in dietary protein digestion. CTRB1 exhibits isoform-specific substrate specificity distinct from its paralog CTRB2, influencing the regulation of intrapancreatic trypsin activity. Genetic variations in the CTRB1 locus, particularly structural inversions that alter isoform expression balance, are significantly associated with susceptibility to chronic pancreatitis and have been linked to pancreatic acinar cell adenocarcinoma. |
