| 背景信息 | 5'-nucleotidase (NT5E), also known as CD73, is an ecto-enzyme that plays a crucial role in purine metabolism by hydrolyzing extracellular adenosine monophosphate (AMP) into adenosine and inorganic phosphate. This enzymatic activity is vital for regulating adenosine levels in the extracellular space, influencing various physiological processes such as immune response, inflammation, and tissue repair. NT5E is expressed on the surface of various cell types, including lymphocytes and endothelial cells, where it also functions in cell adhesion and migration. Dysregulation of NT5E has been implicated in several diseases, particularly cancer, where it promotes tumor growth by facilitating immune evasion through the accumulation of adenosine, which inhibits T-cell activation and enhances tumor progression. Additionally, NT5E is involved in autoimmune diseases and inflammatory conditions. |
