| 背景信息 | Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is a crucial anti-inflammatory cytokine, primarily produced by immune cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and T cells. It plays a vital role in regulating immune responses by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production, promoting B cell survival, and enhancing antibody production. IL-10 is known for its ability to downregulate the expression of Th1 cytokines and major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, thereby limiting excessive inflammation and tissue damage. Dysregulation of IL-10 is associated with various diseases, insufficient IL-10 production can lead to chronic inflammatory conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and rheumatoid arthritis. Conversely, overexpression of IL-10 in tumors can facilitate immune evasion, contributing to cancer progression. |
