| 背景信息 | Carboxylesterase 1 (CES1) is a member of a large family of carboxylesterases responsible for the hydrolysis of ester and amide bonds. It has broad substrate specificity, ranging from small molecule esters to long chain fatty acid esters and thioesters, and plays a major role in the pharmacokinetic behavior of therapeutic agents containing ester bonds. The protein is expressed in various tissues, including the liver, and its deficiency can lead to altered drug metabolism. CES1 is involved in the detoxification of drugs such as cocaine and heroin in serum and liver, and it can also detoxify organophosphate and carbamate analogues used in agrochemicals or chemical nerve agents. Deficiency in CES1 has been associated with non-Hodgkin lymphoma or B-cell lymphocytic leukemia. |
