| 背景信息 | Vesicle-associated membrane protein 1 (VAMP1) is a member of the SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) family, primarily involved in the fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane, facilitating neurotransmitter release. VAMP1 is characterized by a hydrophobic carboxy-terminal sequence that anchors it to vesicle membranes and allows it to interact with other SNARE proteins, such as syntaxins and SNAP-25, forming a complex essential for synaptic transmission. Mutations in the VAMP1 gene have been linked to congenital myasthenic syndromes, which result in muscle weakness due to impaired neuromuscular transmission. Additionally, altered expression of VAMP1 has been associated with various cancers; for example, higher levels of VAMP1 expression correlate with improved survival rates in lung cancer patients. |
