| 背景信息 | Proteinase 3 (PRTN3) is a serine protease enzyme primarily expressed in neutrophil granulocytes. It plays a role in the proteolytic generation of antimicrobial peptides and is the target of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCAs) of the c-ANCA class, commonly found in granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA). PRTN3 is externalized during apoptosis and interacts with phospholipid scramblase 1 (PLSCR1), which is involved in the bidirectional movement of plasma membrane phospholipids. This externalization can interfere with macrophage clearance of apoptotic neutrophils, contributing to the pathogenesis of ANCA-associated vasculitis and other inflammatory diseases. High levels of membrane PR3 expression are associated with chronic inflammatory diseases such as vasculitides and rheumatoid arthritis. |
