| 背景信息 | Proteasome 20S subunit alpha 2 (PSMA2), is a critical alpha subunit of the 20S proteasome core complex, which forms a barrel-shaped structure composed of four stacked rings-two outer alpha rings and two inner beta rings-totaling 28 subunits. PSMA2 contributes to the assembly and structural integrity of the proteasome, which performs ATP/ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis of damaged or regulatory proteins, maintaining cellular protein homeostasis. The proteasome’s proteolytic activities include chymotrypsin-like, trypsin-like, and caspase-like cleavages, essential for protein quality control and immune surveillance. PSMA2 is upregulated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), where it promotes tumorigenesis, chemo- and radioresistance by regulating cell cycle progression, mitochondrial dysfunction, and mitophagy pathways. Additionally, PSMA2 is exploited by influenza A virus to evade immune clearance and is associated with immune response modulation in cancers. |
