| 背景信息 | Proteasome 20S subunit beta 9 (Proteasome beta 9) is a component of the 20S core particle, the central catalytic unit of the proteasome complex responsible for protein degradation. It assembles into the inner beta-rings of the four-stacked ring structure. Synthesized with an N-terminal propeptide that is removed during assembly, this subunit plays a critical structural and regulatory role in core particle formation and stability, supporting the proper positioning of catalytic subunits. Defects in proteasome assembly or function compromise proteostasis, contributing to diverse pathologies including neurodegenerative diseases, inflammatory disorders, and cancer. |
