| 背景信息 | Interleukin-12A (IL12A) is a crucial cytokine subunit that plays a significant role in the immune response by promoting the differentiation of naive T cells into T helper 1 (Th1) cells and enhancing the activity of natural killer (NK) cells. It forms a heterodimer with IL12B to create the functional IL-12 cytokine, which is vital for producing interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and other pro-inflammatory responses. Dysregulation of IL12A has been implicated in various diseases, particularly autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and type 1 diabetes, where excessive IL-12 production can exacerbate inflammation. Additionally, genetic polymorphisms in IL12A have been associated with susceptibility to autoimmune diseases and certain cancers, indicating its pivotal role in both immune regulation and disease pathogenesis. |
