| 背景信息 | HIVEP zinc finger 2 (HIVEP2) is a large transcription factor belonging to the ZAS family, characterized by a modular domain containing two C2H2 zinc finger motifs and a serine/threonine-rich region. It functions by specifically binding to the kappa-B motif (5'-GGGACTTTCC-3') within the enhancer and promoter regions of both viral and cellular genes. Through this DNA-binding activity, HIVEP2 regulates the transcription of various targets, including MHC class I molecules, the interleukin-2 receptor, and interferon-beta. These regulatory functions suggest a significant role for HIVEP2 in T-cell activation, growth, and development. Furthermore, it is involved in the modulation of the NF-kappaB signaling pathway, potentially influencing the immune response to viral infections such as HIV-1 and CMV. |
