| 背景信息 | Nucleoporin 214 (NUP214) is a large nucleoporin localized to the cytoplasmic filaments of the nuclear pore complex. Containing extensive FG-repeats, it serves as a primary docking site for the export receptor CRM1, facilitating the nuclear export of proteins and mRNA. NUP214 is essential for efficient nucleocytoplasmic transport. In hematologic malignancies, the gene is frequently involved in chromosomal translocations, such as the DEK-NUP214 fusion in acute myeloid leukemia. These fusions disrupt normal transport dynamics and gene regulation, driving leukemogenesis and correlating with poor clinical prognosis. |
