| 背景信息 | Keratin 20 (Cytokeratin-20) is a type I cytokeratin and intermediate filament protein essential for maintaining the structural integrity and mechanical stability of epithelial cells. It is specifically expressed in the mature enterocytes and goblet cells of the gastric and intestinal mucosa. As a type I keratin, it forms heterotypic chains with type II keratins to construct the cytoskeletal framework of differentiated tissues. Clinically, KRT20 is a highly specific diagnostic marker for adenocarcinomas of colorectal and gastric origin. Aberrant expression or loss of KRT20 is associated with various gastrointestinal malignancies, including colorectal cancer and Barrett's esophagus. Furthermore, altered KRT20 patterns are linked to inflammatory bowel diseases, where disruptions in keratin expression can affect epithelial differentiation and the integrity of the intestinal barrier. |
