| 背景信息 | Dipeptidyl peptidase like 6 (DPP6) is a single-pass type II transmembrane protein that functions as an auxiliary subunit for Kv4-family voltage-gated potassium channels. Although it belongs to the S9B family of serine proteases, it lacks enzymatic activity due to the absence of a conserved catalytic serine. DPP6 is primarily expressed in the brain, where it enhances the surface trafficking of Kv4.2 channels and modulates their gating kinetics to regulate neuronal excitability and synaptic plasticity. It also plays a role in action potential repolarization and cardiac transient outward currents. Clinically, dysregulation of DPP6 is associated with susceptibility to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), idiopathic ventricular fibrillation, and various cardiac arrhythmias, highlighting its importance in both neurological and cardiovascular physiology. |
