| 背景信息 | X-C motif chemokine ligand 1 (XCL1), also known as lymphotactin, is a unique member of the C chemokine family, characterized by its single disulfide bond and ability to exist in two conformational states: a monomer (Ltn10) and a dimer (Ltn40). This 114-amino acid protein is primarily secreted by activated CD8+ T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, playing a crucial role in immune responses, particularly in the cross-presentation of antigens by dendritic cells through its exclusive receptor, XCR1. XCL1's involvement extends to various diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and neuropathic pain, where it contributes to T cell recruitment and inflammatory processes. Its distinct structural features and functional roles make XCL1 a focus of research for therapeutic applications in immunology and pain management. |
