| 背景信息 | Stromal cell-derived factor 1 (CXCL12) is a chemokine that plays a vital role in immune cell trafficking and tissue homeostasis. It primarily acts as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes, monocytes, and hematopoietic stem cells by binding to the CXCR4 receptor, facilitating their migration to sites of inflammation or injury. CXCL12 is crucial in various physiological processes, including hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and the development of the nervous system. Its dysregulation has been implicated in several diseases. In cancer, CXCL12 promotes tumor progression and metastasis by enhancing the migratory capacity of cancer cells expressing CXCR4, which is observed in cancers such as breast and lung cancer. Additionally, mutations in the CXCL12 gene can influence susceptibility to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, as certain variants may confer resistance to the virus. |
