| 背景信息 | Phosphatidylinositol transfer protein beta (PITPNB) is a cytosolic lipid-transfer protein that facilitates the movement of phosphatidylinositol (PI) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) between cellular membranes. It utilizes a hydrophobic cavity to shield individual lipids during transport, supporting phosphoinositide synthesis by delivering PI to specific PI kinases and phospholipases. PITPNB is a member of the SRPBCC superfamily and contains an N-terminal lipid-binding core that mediates membrane association and lipid exchange. By maintaining local phosphoinositide pools, it regulates phosphoinositide-dependent signaling, vesicular trafficking, and regulated exocytosis. While it shares functional similarities with PITP-alpha, PITPNB maintains distinct roles in coordinating membrane dynamics and intracellular signaling pathways. |
